NYC / Hands Away

This work was created in response to the D&AD Diesel brief to "create an illustrated interpretation of a musical track that is experienced by the viewer in an unconventional and pioneering way".

Using two songs by the New York band Interpol the lyrics were converted into morse code then extruded to form a 'lyrical cityscape'. I envision how these structures might be physically realised so that someone might be able to literally walk 'inside' a song.
